BWA's Nutcracker - Reimagined 14th December 11:00 am
Overview
This vibrant production guides audiences through the beloved story with imaginative acting scenes and a playful twist on familiar characters. Expect an exciting mix of genres from street-dancing mice and tap-dancing soldiers to singing candies and ballet flowers in the Land of the Sweets. It’s The Nutcracker as you’ve never seen it before—fun, fresh, and perfect for young audiences discovering the tale for the first time, while still offering plenty of charm for adults.
We’re thrilled to feature a live guitarist (a proud parent of one of our students!) and a beautiful performance by our guest Sugar Plum Fairy, professional ballet dancer Misa Noguchi.
The show is directed by William Byram, an experienced director of operas across the UK, including London Youth Opera, bringing professional vision and storytelling flair to this family favourite.
Join us for a magical and wonderfully original retelling of The Nutcracker, brought to life by the talented students of BWA Performing Arts!
