BWA May 13, 2017 Program: Amp Up Your Social Media!
How to Take Social Media from Meh to Mahvelous!
Do you feel clueless about the “who, why, and how” of social media? Do you wonder what's meant by “engaging” and why it matters?
Simply put, it’s all about connecting with your tribe.
As writers, artists, and business people, we can't escape the need to broaden our spheres of connection and influence.
If you've heard all of that before and yet still feel “meh” about social media—or just want to be re-inspired—BWA’s May 2017 program is for you!
In three lively 15-minute presentations followed by Q&A, you will learn the ABCs of social media and how to amp up your motivation. You will walk away charged with new energy and concrete tips for how to get started engaging your key stakeholders.
Part 1: Strategize. To help you define the “who and where,” Rick Killian, a NYT bestselling writer, will walk you through five strategic questions to help you define your social media path.
Part 2: Target. Tricia Fitzpatrick, a veteran marketing communications professional, will show you how to find the pivotal influencers you should focus on connecting with.
Part 3: Engage. Valerie Webster, social media manager turned fiction writer, will show you how to use free and/or inexpensive video tools to create customer-engaging experiences.
