Event description

Description

Join our associate curator of entomology to learn the ins and outs of insect pinning! Participants will receive a demonstration and guided instruction on pinning procedure and techniques, using ethically sourced butterflies. Everyone will go home with 2-3 prepared butterflies, a shadow box for displaying specimens, and instructions on how to properly pin at home.

All materials will be provided. Your finished specimens will go home with you so you can proudly display your work for friends and family.

Participants 12-18 years old are welcome to join us! Before registering a participant under 18 for the workshop, please email programs@naturemuseum.org.

Museum admission is included in the ticket price.
