Description

Butterflies & Garden Habitat Presentation

Instructor: Julie O'Donald

Date: Sat 1/19 Time: 2-3:30pm

Cost: $5

In this program we'll learn about 18 species of local butterflies and the flowers that attract them. Find out how to include native flowering shrubs and wildflowers in your garden. We'll learn about landscape features that help butterflies throughout the year and which preferred host plants will help keep butterflies in our neighborhoods.

Master Gardener and Community Habitat Steward, Julie O'Donald has created a personal wildlife habitat with over 200 species of native plants. Julie also gardens with edible and ornamental plants that complement the landscape, providing habitat for people and wildlife. This garden has been successfully attracting birds, butterflies, and beneficial insects for 25+ years and has been featured in Pacific Horticulture, The Butterfly Gardener, Bird Watching Magazine, Sunset publications and Butterfly Gardening: The North American Butterfly Association Guide.
