But I'm Not Your Therapist: Coaching Challenging Clients
Have you ever felt like your clients are treating you as a therapist instead of a coach? Ever have client sessions or classes that leave you with a vague but persistent discomfort that follows you to the end of your day? Do you want to grow your capacity to handle these aspects of your work that linger under the surface and create burnout?
Coaches and Trainers are in a unique position to help their clients grow physically and mentally. Yet they rarely have training on the emotional and psychological aspects of their work.
This workshop will empower you as a fitness professional, increasing your ability to constructively put words to these often unspoken challenges, shifting from tolerating to problem solving. As a past participant put it, "venting about stressors isn't enough." Through guided exercises and discussion you will discover techniques to gain useful insight about your own needs, and improve your connections with clients while reducing the emotional toll.
