Event description

Description

BUSINESS ENERGY Meet UP - Featuring: FINLAND

Finland leads the world in using forest residues - left over from logging - to generate both electricity and heat.

Their mature Bioeconomy R&D started in the mid-1970s. Now, Finland not only has the most efficient equipment for both wood harvesting and combustion, but also an evolved supply chain logistic system, springing from the adoption of forest landownership cooperatives.

Two Finnish experts are coming to our area to share their technical expertise and also tell us more about the evolution of the Bioeconomy in Finland: Jaarno Haapakoski, CEO Volter FI and Markku Paananen, Specialist at JAMK University of Applied Scientists and Researcher at Finland's Bioeconomy Center in Taarvala, FI.

Save the Date: Friday, September 28!

Learn more about the solutions this technology can provide to our resource-rich area.
Top it off with a great lunch catered by Fitzgerald's!
