The Arts & Entertainment Crew introduces a brand new series called The Business of Art. This series aims to unveil the secrets to staving off the 'starving artist' title and help creatives of all types become paid professionals, making a living on their art.
The inaugural Business of Art event will teach artists the correct way to submit artwork for display at shows. Steve Liggett, Artistic Director of Living Arts of Tulsa, will share specifics for submitting artwork to the Living Arts and general standards for submitting artwork to galleries and shows. He will share tips and tricks to becoming a regularly viewed artist, which is the first step to earning a salary on your artwork.
In October, the A&E Crew will host the annual Next/Now Art Show at Living Arts. The monthly Business of Art events will prepare artists for submitting artwork to the Next/Now show which is called Altered. Space. Click here for details about our event.
