Description

Having a successful business means understanding the financial side of your business. In this series, you will learn to read AND understand what your financial statements say about the health of your business, how to prepare for future loan needs, how your credit can affect your business, the important aspects of recordkeeping, and much more so you can stay on top of owning your business instead of letting your business own you.

Sept. 19 | Financial Overview:

Learn financial management basics for a small business and identify financial management practices, rules, and tools that are commonly available to a small business.

Sept. 26 | Bookkeeping Basics:

Discover the necessary steps involved with keeping the books along with an overview of recording keeping, tax planning, and reporting for small businesses.

Oct. 3 | Financial Statements:

Understand what your financials say about your business in addition to what a financial statement should look like and how to properly read one.

Oct. 10 | Cash Flow:

Learn the basics of start-up costs, budgeting, and projections. Discover how a cash flow statement can help assess and improve the financial health of a business.

Oct. 17 | Preparing to Access Capital:

Learn what you need to know in order to be prepared to seek financing, and understand the difference between personal and business credit and how your credit score affects your potential for lending.
