About the property
Situated in the hills north of Bonnie Doon, this 36-hectare property is undergoing transfomation from cleared grazing land into a biodiverse, carbon-rich landscape. Made up of steep slopes, remnant trees and regenerating gullies, this site is an impressive example of how strategic revegation can restore native habitats and support wildlife. It's also home to a registered carbon project which adds another layer of environmental value.
This property lies on the traditional lands of the Taungurng people. We acknowledge their deep and enduring connection to Country, and pay our respects to Elders past and present.
What is BushBank?
The Victorian Government’s $77 million BushBank Program is restoring more than 20,000 hectares of land across Victoria to create healthy wildlife habitat and capture carbon. The majority of work is taking place on private land through partnerships with private landowners.
It’s the most ambitious environmental restoration program in Victoria’s history.
This event is hosted by Cassinia Environmental, the major delivery partner for the BushBank program - Private Land Stream and is part of the Spring into Bushbank! event series.
