Event description

Description

The Octorara Covenanter Presbyterian Foundation cordially invites you to a Burns Night at Colonel Patterson Bell’s Bellbank on February 3rd, 2018 with a snow date on February 10th. This stunning, grand home is located at 601 Bell Road, Kirkwood PA, in beautiful Colerain Township, Lancaster County and was built by Revolutionary War Colonel Patterson Bell in 1808.

The evening will begin promptly at 6:00 as guests are piped in followed by a social time and a host’s welcome. A traditional haggis ceremony will follow ending with a toast of scotch. A supper buffet of smoked salmon, haggis, cock-a-leekie soup, neeps and tatties, salad, trifle and shortbread will be served. After supper guests are invited to honor the life of Rabbie Burns with speeches, readings and toasts. Live music will be heard throughout the evening and guests are invited to gather around the piano to sing Burns songs to conclude the evening.

We hope you can join us for this festivity to celebrate the life and poetry of Robert Burns. The charge for this fundraising event is $60.00 per person and includes food, drink (Scotch, Beer and Wine) and entertainment. Lodging can be found within a 15-20 mile radius.
