Event description
Join participants from around the world for a two-day online event that challenges the status quo of education.

About this Event

Join us for a two-day online event that challenges the status quo of education. Shake up your assumptions with a feast of critical questions, difficult conversations and thought-provoking activities that will inspire a fresh take on schooling.

THIS YEAR'S THEME: Accessibility: Building Education Towards a Sustainable World

Participants will explore accessibility through workshops encompassing refugees, higher education and pandemics, special needs education, and students' attitudes and motivation toward learning. Participants will encounter unexpected perspectives which challenge them to question their worldview and be part of increasing access for all with a sustainable mindset.

We aim to run Burning Questions quite differently than a regular ‘conference’. The approach is participatory, creative and connective. Our main focus is on equal and equitable participation and the exchange of ideas and questions rather than a traditional top-down lecture model. The event will consist of workshops discussing four major themes as well as two special interpretations:

  • Inclusivity in Special Needs Education
  • Refugees and Relocations: Bridging the Immigrant Gap
  • The Effects of Pandemics on Higher Education and Technology
  • Students’ Attitudes and Approach Toward Education
  • Special Workshop: Mindfulness Education in Practice
  • Special Workshop: To Be Announced Soon
