Meet parent leaders, professional staff, and community stakeholders in your county! Discuss strategies, challenges and success stories for running an effective Special Education Parent Advisory Group (SEPAG).
Our meeting's focus will be on sharing information, resources, and effective tools to increase parental involvement as well as bringing parents' voice to the special education process in school districts. Emphasis is on collaboration with the school district and community organizations to improve programs and outcomes for children receiving special education and related services.
Topic discussion will include policy changes and the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA).
