Whether you're fanning the sultry fire of a red hot showgirl dying to emerge from within, interested in exploring sexiness & sexuality in performance and life (onstage or off!) or reveling in and celebrating the beauty of your form in all it's lovely iterations, this class is a perfect way to begin! A thoughtful yet engaging metamorphosis into your next exciting life adventure, this experience is perfect for EVERYONE! Perhaps you dream of dancing under the hot lights of the big stage, covered in glittering rhinestones! Maybe it's the thought of delighting your lover with a few new mysteriously gained skills, or strengthening healthy, no BS, confidence in your body, abilities, and intelligence by learning new, fun, and sexy skills!

We will be working on various styles of Burlesque and Cabaret dance choreographies and movements, ranging from classic to modern; from sexy to sensual; to fun and upbeat! Various props may be incorporated such as hats, stockings, gloves, and fans. If there is something, in particular, you are interested in learning, please let us know! All interested students who desire to perform (optional!) the various pieces learned in class will have a chance to do so!

Our space is a safe haven to celebrate and promote self-love and empowerment, and confidence in expressing the inner sensuality and femininity that is within each and every one of us. There is no nudity involved in our classes. Although some elements of striptease may be involved, participation is completely voluntary, and students are encouraged to work within their comfort zone.

CHERRY BUDS PERFORMANCE TROUPE: NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS!

We are so excited to announce that we will be starting our student performance troupe, Cherry Buds! No experience is necessary to join, but it helps if you've come to class before, or have some type of understanding of movement.

Rehearsals are 8:00-9:00 pm following class, for ensemble choreography and repertoire.

Help with the creation of solo acts will also be included in the monthly fee, this can be done in person or via Zoom.

The fee for joining Cherry Buds is $50/month. This does not include any costume fees. Membership in the Cherry Buds ensemble does not guarantee stage time, nor does it require anyone to perform. For ensemble pieces, those who are able to perform and execute the choreography will be invited to perform. For solo acts, performance opportunities will be available when the individual is ready. We are tentatively looking at doing a showcase in May.

Cherry Buds members are also welcome to join the 7 pm class as part of their membership fee.

Please do not come to class if you have any of the following:

-any signs or symptoms of a fever in the past 24 hours such as chills, sweats, felt "feverish" or had a temperature that is elevated for you/100.0F or greater

-currently have any of the following symptoms: Cough, Shortness of Breath or Chest Tightness, Sore Throat, Nasal Congestion/Runny Nose, Myalgia (Body Aches), Loss of Taste and/or Smell, Diarrhea, Nausea, Vomiting, Fever/Chills/Sweats

-been exposed to COVID

-have COVID

FAQS:

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR/BRING? Please bring heels that will stay on your feet (the kind with a strap generally stays on better than pumps), that you can move in (a low heel is easier to start out in, if you are not familiar with wearing high heeled shoes), comfortable clothes to move in, and water. And of course, a good attitude and an open heart!

DO I NEED TO HAVE ANY EXPERIENCE? No, this is an all level class, so no previous experience is needed.

REFUNDS? Refunds will only be issued up to 24 hours from the start time of class. Any cancellations within 24 hours will not be refunded.

TRANSFERS? If you are unable to attend class, you may tranfer your ticket to someone else for the same class date. No makeup classes or transfers to a future class date.
