Burke is offering this continuing education opportunity to the East Texas community.

Ethics and Culture

A review of ethical issues and how societal values are reflected in the code of ethics. These impact ethical decisions even when they reflect conscious or unconscious bias. The process of this presentation will include an overview and specific vignettes that involve complex issues of ethical behavior and legal issues. Vignettes will be presented for discussion during the training.

Roger Bruce McNellie, PhD, LCSW-S,DCSW,LPC-S,LMFT

Dr. McNellie, worked as a public school teacher in 1972, in child protective services from 1973-2004, as an instructor at SFASU School of Social Work from 1984 to the present, as a professor of psychology at Northcentral University School of Behavior, Prescott, Arizona since 2005, and have supervised LCSW applicants since 2002. McNellie has been the director of a non-profit, projectbelize.org , since 1988, holding annual medical clinics in Belize, Central America. He has taught ethics for the past 25 years and have specialized in human development and behavior.

This program has applied for 3.0 hours of ethics continuing education hours for social workers, LPC’s and LMFT’s.
