Event Details

Please join the Social Enterprise Institute Student Association as we welcome Northeastern alumnus Ben Kneppers, as well as David Stover and Kevin Ahearn, co-founders of Bureo Skateboards, for a discussion on scaling enterprise solutions to global environmental issues.

Bureo Skateboards is a start-up social enterprise that designs and manufactures a unique line of sustainable skateboards by utilizing the growing amount of plastic pollution in Chilean communities and coastlines. Bureo's product offers its socially conscious consumers the opportunity to support both recycling development as well as job growth for local inhabitants in Chile.

Bureo is a recipient of Gap Funding from IDEA, Northeastern's student-run venture accelerator, and a member of the Start Up Chile accelerator. For more information, please contact the Social Enterprise Institute at sei@neu.edu
