Event description
If you are interested in how your organisation can participate in the Container Deposit Scheme, come along to an Information Session!

About this Event

The Western Australian Government recently announced that WA’s new Container Deposit Scheme, Containers for Change, will commence on 2 June 2020.

Scheme Coordinator, WA Return Recycle Renew Ltd (WARRRL), has opened registrations for Applications/Expressions of Interest for organisations to become Refund Point operators, Processing Providers and/or Logistics Providers.

Refund Point operators will be key participants in Containers for Change, accepting the return of eligible beverage containers and facilitating customer refunds of 10c per eligible container. Whether you’re a social enterprise, non-profit organisation or commercial business, you can apply to become a Refund Point. Refund Points need to have convenient and accessible space, staff and a commitment to great customer service.

Logistics and Processing Providers play an integral part of the scheme, transporting, verifying and processing containers collected at Refund Points, prior to recycling.

During this Information Session, WARRRL will provide information about how your organisation can be involved in Containers for Change. It will the key considerations for potential Refund Point operators, Processing Providers and Logistics Providers, as well as a Q&A session to address any queries potential participants may have.
