From crafting handbags to distilling booze, San Franciscans are tapping into the deep well of creativity and expertise that exists here to build, brew, bake and create. Join our panel of entrepreneurs and community leaders as they explore the the local marketplace, the benefits of buying local, and the distinct procurement culture that makes the SF Bay Area so unique.
After the program, join the Club for an exposition of some of SF’s finest locally made goods. Bravium Wines, produced from many of California’s most notable appellations, including Napa, Sonoma, Mendocino and the Santa Cruz Mountains, will be sampling some of their superb wines, while Speakeasy Ales & Lagers will be sharing their notoriously delicious brews such as Big Daddy I.P.A and Prohibition Ale. Rickshaw Bagworks will show us how they make fabric for their carrier bags sustainably from recycled plastic bottles, and Make Magazine will teach us how we can build-it-ourselves. These and many other local artisans, entrepreneurs and craftsmen will be sharing and sampling their wares, so don’t miss the opportunity to mix and mingle while enjoying the many products built right here in the Bay Area.
