Frequently asked questions
The class is done in a circuit style. What this means is that people rotate around different stations after a certain amount of time. This means people are able to exercise at their own pace and often there are varying weights/exercises provided, so attendees can make the best decision for them.
Of course! Please just let me know ahead of time so I can factor this in, and/or provide alternative exercises if needed. For example, you may have poor mobility/flexibility, an old injury you want to strengthen or asthma. None of this should put you off exercising, as exercise helps!
Resistance training means putting muscles under resistance, so they're stimulated and grow (weightlifting). Having muscle mass is *the* most important thing you need to live a longer, healthier and more able life. Lifting weights reverses osteoporosis, increases strength and stops muscle wastage.
I have worked with teens/young adults, through to 35 years, right through to the elderly. I appreciate different age ranges require different things from a fitness class, and I will do everything I can to tailor the class to suit everyone. This includes providing a variety of weights and exercises.
