Event Details

Please join us for an afternoon of food, drinks and fun to support efforts to promote child literacy in Africa.

Buildings & Books is a charitable organization that works to expand access to books by constructing children's community libraries. Our first three libraries are open and operating in Kenya, and we are already hard at work on our next library there. Plans are also underway to expand our work to Rwanda, and we hope to begin construction on a library there later this year.

By joining us on July 13th you will be supporting the construction of our next two libraries and helping us to bring the opportunity for a better education and the hope for a better future to kids in Kenya and Rwanda.

Meridian Pint is easily accessible by car or Metro (Columbia Heights station), and has a wonderful selection of domestic and imported beers on tap. The food is also terrific, and we'll provide a sampling of some of their best appetizers.

We look forward to seeing you there!
