Event description

Description

The Community and University Summit is a joint project that explores opportunities to engage in meaningful, co-created community partnerships between local campuses and nonprofit and civic institutions. It deepens the dialogue we started in the last summit on the best practices throughout the region and how we continue to learn to amplify community voice.

This summit gives us a better understating of how we "enter and exit" communities in ways that are responsive, reciprocal, sustainable and respectful. With a strategic focus on addressing regional priorities, we plan to develop an array of action items that our higher education and community partners can implement immediately to contribute to the health and strength of our communities.

Lunch is included. The day will consistent of a keynote presentation by Dr. Vetta Sanders Thompson, as well as panel and roundtable discussions.
