Event description
Learn how to build trust with your audience while you're presenting.

About this Event

Today, it’s harder to connect with an audience—and that was before we were isolated behind screens. Cynicism erodes our audiences’ trust in media, government, consumer brands… and, unfortunately, us. Without trust, we can’t maintain their attention or motivate action. Across every industry and stage, speakers need new strategies to earn their trust.

Enter Trustworthy, the book with a bold vision and concrete framework to help you build trust and regain the interest and loyalty of your audience. Author Margot Bloomstein sat down with CMOs, creative directors, designers, writers, and marketers at a range of organizations to discover how they beat back cynicism and build the trust of their audiences. Drawing on their examples and a rich new framework, learn how to apply lessons of voice, volume of detail, and vulnerability to engage and empower your audience and help them gain new confidence in both you and themselves.

She’s the author of the industry mainstay Content Strategy at Work and the new Trustworthy: How the Smartest Brands Beat Cynicism and Bridge the Trust Gap. Margot teaches in the content strategy graduate program at FH Joanneum University in Graz, Austria, lectures around the world about brand-driven content strategy and designing for trust, and tweets prolifically at @mbloomstein.
