About the event
Have you ever wanted to know more about getting into the building trades but don't know where to start or what options are out there? Are you someone who doesn't see yourself often reflected in trades, or are curious about how it is to navigate those spaces? This trade info fair is specifically for people who have been historically excluded along race, gender, and sexuality lines.

What to Expect
This event is meant to be a casual opportunity to meet and talk with people in different trade work. Each trade will have information about how to join, what the work is like, and what's involved in being in that specific trade. Different trades will have demo's that shed insight into what the work may include.

About the Space
TC Maker is a 24/7 volunteer-run maker-space that has a wide range of equipment and shop space. It's located in the Seward Neighborhood in Minneapolis. There's ample street parking and the number 9 bus has a stop a block away.

About the organizer
Cory Gabrielle works as a welder at a small production and fabrication welding shop in Seward. They've been welding for over three years and has a degree in Welding Technology. They love TIG welding and primarily do TIG welding on stainless and mild steel at work and on projects, even when it's not the faster option!
