Building the Village is a program of the Bluegrass Center for Teacher Quality. At The Center, we know that it takes a village to raise a child. We also know that some children require a unique and specialized village in order to find long-term success in life. The Building the Village program is designed to bring all stakeholders together at the table to discuss the many challenges and opportunities related to interdisciplinary collaboration.
The 2016 Building the Village Summit will focus on Childhood Bullying.
By bringing teachers, parents, administrators, social workers, nurses, psychologists and all other community stakeholders together at the table, we can facilitate collaborative discussions, raise awareness of the unique challenges that each member of the village faces, and open our eyes to the many ways that each of us can work together to reach our common goal: lifetime success and wellness for the children who we serve.
