Additionally, you will learn how competition moves organizations to incorporate the latest advances in care delivery, medical technology, new building codes and healing design elements to enhance the patient experience through the surrounding environment. Changes in building codes and patient safety standards also drive the need for construction and modification.
Moderator:Gregory J. Kuntz, MPH, FACHE - Mr. Kuntz serves as Managing Director for American Intercontinental Healthcare Group, (AIHG), a Tennessee-based multidisciplinary healthcare management company. Greg has over 35 years’ senior leadership experience in domestic and international hospitals,healthcare management consulting services, and physician practice operation. Greg’s experienceincludes turnaround management, new facility design, construction oversight, new hospital startup, interim management, physician recruitment, and physician practice management. Greg has held positions with publicly traded specialty hospitals, community and tertiary hospitals in the US and internationally, and large specialty physician practices.

Christopher Clark, DO, MHA - Dr. Clark is President of Saint Vincent Hospital in May of 2017. Dr. Clark has served in a number of leadership roles at the hospital over the past decade, including Senior Vice President of Medical Affairs, Chief Quality Officer, Associate Chief Medical Officer and Director of Medical Education. He began his service to the hospital in 2001 as a family physician and continues to provide patient care at Saint Vincent. Dr. Clark serves on the Board of Directors for Family Services of Northwestern PA, the Erie Regional Chamber and Growth Partnership, the SSJ Neighborhood Network, and is the current Chairman of the March of Dimes Signature Chef’s Auction in Erie.
William Ayars, AIA, ACHA, MBA. Mr. Ayars co-founded Perspectus Architecture with Larry Fischer in 2001 - the same year of earning his MBA from Case Western Reserve University. He also received Board Certification from the American College of Healthcare Architects (one of only 38 architects in Ohio). Examples of major projects Mr. Ayars successfully executed include the Cleveland Clinic and the Veterans Administration.
David P. Gibbons, MHA, RN. Mr. Gibbons is the President of UPMC Hamot located in Erie, PA. He is responsible for operational and administrative oversight of the UPMC Northern Pennsylvania and New York pod, in Northwestern Pennsylvania and New York State, consisting of UPM Hamot, UPMC Northwest, UPMC Chautauqua and UPMC Kane hospitals. He also directs and implements strategic direction for health system growth. Mr. Gibbons received his Bachelor of Science and Nursing degree from Clarion University, and his Master of Science Degree in Health Administration at St. Joseph's University.
John A. Gennaro, MBA, MHA, FACHE. Mr. Gennaro serves as the Director of the Erie VA Medical Center. He oversees the delivery of health care to more than 21,000 Veterans, 715 employees, and an operating budget of $144M. Mr. Gennaro has held many positions throughout his 15-years of service in the VA, including the serving as the Director of the Cincinnati VA Medical Center from 2015-2016. Mr. Gennaro received his MBA and MHA from Xavier University.
