Please join us on April 11 from 1 to 4 p.m. to celebrate and honor two decades of Growth & Justice’s research and partnerships to develop and advocate for public policy that makes Minnesota's economy more prosperous and fairer for all Minnesotans.

The event features reflections forward on Minnesota’s Equity Blueprint and the pathways to becoming a multicultural, anti-racist state where growth & justice abide for all.

We are inspired for this commemoration by the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King’s October 1967 speech, “What is Your Life’s Blueprint?” – a rallying cry for community members of all ages: “However young you are, you have a responsibility to seek to make your nation a better nation in which to live. You have a responsibility to seek to make life better for everybody. And so you must be involved in the struggle of freedom and justice.”

Hear from envoys to Minnesota’s present day and future -- our diverse and talented young people -- in the ways they are making their communities better places in which to live and work. Join in their discussions organized across the intersecting topics of the Equity Blueprint -- human capital, economic development, infrastructure, and environmental resilience -- one of several practical, aspirational, and formative public policy roadmaps developed with community partners across the years at Growth & Justice.

This statewide event also features insights useful today on policy development and democracy trends over the last 20 years, offered by Growth & Justice’s current and past leaders including Jane Leonard and Dane Smith.

You can find the speakers for the event on the program at-a-glance on our website under the 'G & J 20th Anniversary' tab. This event via Zoom is free but requires pre-registration on this Eventbrite page. And to help celebrate... please add equity stories to our Minnesota Equity Map!

A lot of our work and past publications have focused on equity— economic, racial, and environmental. As we’re discussing the path forward to becoming a multicultural, anti-racist state, we want to point you toward our Minnesota Equity Map project, which maps equity work happening across the state. For it to best serve individuals, organizations who want to collaborate, and legislative advocates, we need as many stories on it as possible! If you know of an organization or initiative that might like to be on the map, please fill out this brief interest form. You can find the map and read the stories on this webpage. We need your help to make this map into a powerful Minnesota resource!
