Introduction and purpose
Who is this session for and what will you learn

What are the typical components in SharePoint you'd need to customize?
In this part, we'll take a look at some of the most common components of SharePoint 2013 you will be asked to customize.

Overview of SharePoint 2013 dev model in terms of building productivity solutions
In this part, we'll take a look at what means do you have as a developer and what areas can you customize when developing productivity solutions in SharePoint 2013. We'll touch on Farm Solutions and Apps and how to know which one to use when.

Tools, environment, and deployment
The key outcome of this part is to get you on a same page with development environment and tools to build solutions for that environment. We'll cover on-premises versus cloud development and benefits of two.

Getting started with building an app, main components of SharePoint 2013 hosted app
We'll take a look at where apps are hosted and what is app landing page versus what's an app part. We'll also cover various app artifacts, such as scripts, style sheets, and pages.

Deploying lists and libraries with apps and exploring deployed components
In this part, we'll deploy our sample app which provisions a list; we'll see where various artifacts live in SharePoint once deployed.

Migrating your web parts as SharePoint 2013 hosted apps
Many of what are commonly known web parts can be apps; we'll take an existing web part solution and migrate it as an app.

Apps aren't there just to build app parts and immersive applications, you can use apps to automate provisioning of SharePoint user interface

Submitting your app in SharePoint 2013 app store
Apps on demand are great, but being able to sell your apps in an app store is even better. With popularity of an app store you can reach anyone. This part focuses on some gotchas you'll need to know when submitting your app to an app store and we'll actually go through the process of submitting an app.
