Event description
We build resilience when we come together and share our grief and our love for the world.

About this Event

Constance Washburn and Mutima Imani invite you to come to the enchanted San Geronimo Valley for a Work that Reconnects 4-day (3 night) gathering.

In this retreat, we will work through all sections of the Work That Reconnects spiral (Gratitude, Honoring our Pain, Seeing with New/Ancient Eyes, and Going Forth). We will do daily mindfulness, self-care and nature connection practices along with the practices of the Work with an emphasis on coming together to grieve the double trauma of environmental destruction and social injustice.

This is a gift economy retreat with suggested donation range of $300 to $600 or more. Banyan Grove runs on the gift economy and the facilitators are also offering their time for Dana ( donations ). A $120 deposit required to hold your place and that deposit will be used for covering food costs. We will provide 3 vegan meals daily starting with Thursday dinner and ending with Sunday lunch.

There are residential spaces for 12 people to sleep at the Retreat Center and there are 16 commuter spaces. Residential spaces on a first come first served basis. Once we reach capacity at Banyan Grove registrants will be notified that they are signing up as a commuter.

There are many local Air BnBs to choose from which you can share with friends or other commuters. Please let us know if you prefer a bnb so we can offer a residential spot to someone else. We request that people stay close by so you can attend all of the retreat activities. The retreat center is in Forest Knolls on Arroyo Rd.

The retreat is designed to give us time to turn away from today’s turmoil and confusion to release the frustration and pain of the daily news and our “Business as Usual” world. The retreat is open to experienced facilitators of the Work That Reconnects as well as those new to the Work. This retreat meets the retreat requirement for the Spiral Journey Facilitator Development Program.

Together we can unleash our passion, creativity and vitality. The Great Turning towards a just and life sustaining world is happening. We will explore the intersectionality of current events and what is ours to do for the healing of our world, our ancestors and future generations.
