Description

If you are looking to get involved in shaping the economic development in our community here is your opportunity. Our featured presenter for this edition of Building Our Black Wall Street will be Paul Stewart. Paul is the founder of Real World Economic Development Academy, a Washington state African Descent non-profit organization, dedicated to providing the economic development educational and strategic groundwork for sustainable communities of African Descent. Paul is also an experienced Community Developer.

Some of the topics Paul will be covering are ... What is Economic Development? History of Black Community Economic Development in the US. The importance of Black Economic Development. Setting up an Economic Development Organization.

At this event we will be looking to identify individuals who would be interested in helping to establish and be a part of the Africatown Community Economic Development Organization. If you are serious about the future of our community this is the event for you. This is a way for us to get back some control of the economic growth and development in our neighborhoods and determine our own financial future. Come out and help us reframe the narrative of the Central District.
