Description
The Building Healthy Soils Workshop is a core component of the Growing Growers training program. Practical knowledge of soil management is critical for farm sustainablity. Presentations will cover basic soil science and farming practices that benefit soil biology, structure, and fertility. Speakers include seasoned producers with extensive experience in cover cropping, nutrient mangement, minimum tillage and crop rotation. After some time in the classroom, we'll get out into the field to see on-farm soil health firsthand. Both new and experienced specialty crop producers are encouraged to attend.
