Event Details

The heart of the traditional library program, the library collection (print and non-print resources) is now viewed through the dual lens of instructional resources and reading motivation: how do these materials help students learn AND develop a love of reading for reading's sake. Join Library Services to learn how to develop and utilize a Collection Development Policy to build a collection with age-appropriate selections that are culturally relevant, engaging, and meets the needs and interests of all learners.

Bringing your own wi-fi device, fully charged, if possible will help.  Please attend even if you do not have such a device.

This program is eligible for  5 hours of CTLE credit in Pedagogy.

The New York City Department of Education is recognized by the New York State Education Department's Office of Teaching Initiatives as an approved sponsor of CTLE for Professional Classroom Teachers, School Leaders and Level III Teaching Assistants.
