Capital projects require careful planning to ensure success. Using case studies of recent capital projects, you will gain an overall understanding of what is involved in planning a capital project for a theatre and the confidence to lead one.
Suitable for: Those responsible for the overall management of theatres of any size considering a capital project but yet to make a start.
Content: Case studies of recent capital projects, and input from experienced professionals. Participants will receive useful course materials for future reference.
Learning outcomes: By the end of this course you will:
• understand the role of options appraisals and feasibility studies to inform decision making;
• know about RIBA Design stages and their use in the development of your capital project;
• have an overview of the different roles required to develop and manage a successful project;
• gain a realistic understanding of timescales, budgets and appointment processes.
