Building Assets for Fathers and Families training and networking - Dayton

Building Assets for Fathers and Families (BAFF), in partnership with the Ohio CDC Association and its affiliates, the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services, Office of Child Support and the Ohio Commission on Fatherhood, will be hosting a series of FREE regional trainings at various locations throughout the state in spring 2013. These training events are dedicated to learning more about organizations in your region that also serve low-income parents, building or strengthening relationships with professionals in these organizations, and encouraging potential replication of the BAFF program in your community.
BAFF is a program that combines the strengths of financial education organizations, county child support offices, and responsible fatherhood-related organizations to focus on the financial needs of low-income parents with child support orders. BAFF encourages non-custodial parents engaged with the child support system to enroll in and complete a series of financial education workshops and/or individual coaching sessions, with the goal of strengthening the parent's ability to pay child support, providing for his children, learning strategies to increase personal/family wealth, and taking an active role in parenthood.
The day will be filled with interesting, informative sessions and activities designed to cross-train participants about other organizations in your region that serve low-income fathers, and offer chances to meet and build relationships with professionals from those organizations. If your organization is interested in this innovative and collaborative approach that will help to expand your reach throughout the community, we encourage you to join us in Dayton.
There is no cost for this event, and lunch will be provided on-site to all attendees! But, every person who plans to attend must register. Registration closes 5 days before the event.

What are my parking options for the event?
Free parking is available at the back of the Montgomery County Job Center. The Job Center and The St. Vincent de Paul Society share a large front parking lot, which is very busy and often overcrowded. Please drive around to the back of the Job Center building (go between the Job Center and the St. Vincent building) and park in the back lot.
You will also enter through the left rear door. Go down that hallway and turn right to find Conference Room C2/C3.
