Event description

Description

The System of Care Council in Morgan County would like to support the community in becoming trauma-informed to enhance the wellbeing of our families, children and individuals. Trauma-informed care is essential to create a safe, supported and empowered community where children can learn and people can enjoy a high quality of life. We each play a key role in ensuring this and also preventing re-traumatization.

This training on Trauma-Informed Systems of Care for Youth Involved in the Child Welfare System presented by a Clinical Services Specialist will explore factors to be considered when working with youth and adults who have been exposed to trauma. This event includes a viewing of the documentary Paper Tigers, and will conclude with a presentation on Trauma-Informed Care for Educators.

*A light breakfast will be provided upon arrival, lunch will be provided by CKF Indiana, and snacks will be available throughout the day.

*This training offers 3 continuing education units (CEUs), or 6 hours of Professional Development (Certificate of Completion).
