The School of Computing Science and Adam Smith Business School are delighted to invite you to attend a workshop with Mark Logan, former COO of Skyscanner - repeated due to popular demand!
The workshop is aimed at staff and students from both schools who are interested in finding out how to take an idea for a business and shape it to what the market needs. Mark Logan will also share with you his knowledge and expertise on the emerging field of Growth Science - utilised by Silicon Valley start-ups and tech giants - and discuss its benefits to growing a successful internet based business. Whether you have the business know-how or the technical know-how this workshop will help shape your thinking on how to start and grow an internet based business.

• Tuning your idea to what the market needs, in the shortest time.
• Growth Science: once your idea finds its market, explore how to systematically build growth. Growth Science is a new field, emerging strongly across successful internet economy companies such as Facebook, Google, Uber and many others. In this section, we’ll look at the main concepts underpinning the field. We’ll illustrate these using case studies from current internet economy start-ups and Silicon Valley giants.
An interactive session where participants will have the opportunity to apply the above principles to start-up ideas, or existing start-ups that members of the audience are working with. If you would like to share your idea then please do so and take advantage of the interactive element.
