Speaker: Robyn Itule, Senior Manager of Brand, Content and Communications at Insight

Robyn Itule loves a great story. She loves all the details that make them rich and memorable, useful and persuasive, powerful and inspiring. From words and graphics to sights and sounds, she is particularly passionate about every experience of a story -- especially the story of a brand and the many opportunities to layer meaning and impact through mediums and channels.

That love of stories and storytelling has been something she was sure she wanted to do well before she went to Gonzaga University to study Public Relations and Journalism, and it’s been central to the story arch of her career so far.

Robyn began her career working in PR, mainly working in media relations. She took an opportunity to focus on a single brand and helped to build the foundational social media programs at Grand Canyon University. From there, Robyn moved to Insight to launch their social programs and she remains there today, having grown in her role to now overseeing Brand, Content and Communication teams for the Fortune 500 technology company.

Robyn is an avid audiobook listener with titles falling into three major categories: leadership, ancient and Medieval cultures and everything Ryan Holiday has written. She recommends any of these as a way to make commuting time feel purposeful.

One of Robyn’s favorite storytelling topics is her family. Robyn and her husband Billy met and got married at Gonzaga University. Billy convinced her to move to Phoenix by drafting a pro/con list on a napkin at a really good Chinese food restaurant. It was convincing. (Robyn is still kicking herself that she didn’t save that…) Together they have two children, Lily and Liam, who also love stories and get very creative in petitioning for just one more almost nightly.
