ABSTRACT

The goal of this workshop is to show how to build an AI for a self-driving vehicle and more importantly how to test the AI against real-life scenarios. Using the open source CARLA simulator (http://carla.org/), we will demonstrate how computer simulation can be used:

- by policymakers, to encode pre-crash scenarios (e,g. from NHTSA)

- by elected officials and residents, to create realistic simulated environments that fit your urban area

- by technologists, to iterate on the design of their self-driving AI
