This full-day workshop empowers seniors to create their own automated urban gardens by blending hands-on gardening with accessible technology. Under the guidance of a multiple NParks Edible Gardening Award winner, participants will gain proven, practical horticultural skills. The session is divided into two key parts. First, you will learn fundamental Micro:bit programming to assemble an automated watering kit. The second segment focuses on practical applications, including installing multi-pot systems and integrating sensors to optimize growing conditions. By the end of the day, you will have the technical confidence and gardening expertise to build and maintain a thriving, self-tending edible garden, using the same innovative methods that have earned our instructor national acclaim
