Build, Fly & Keep Drone Class for Kids
Event Information
Description
Micro-scale drone racing is the fastest, easiest way to become a drone sports pilot. This special 2.5 hour program presented by Museum of Future Sports and the Boys & Girls Club of San Francisco features a tiny but powerful quad-rotor helicopter.
Students learn the basic by building their own micro-drone from scratch, with hands-on help and guidance from Museum of Future Sports professional pilot instructors. Students then learn to fly with one-on-one training, starting with basic hover-and-land skills to more advanced techniques. The drones weigh about one ounce and are very safe to operate.
Each program features:
* Introduction to drone operations
* Micro-scale drone systems and flight preparation
* Progressive flight training in the specialized netted cages for safety
* Complete FPV nano drone flight system, including aircraft, radio, charger and batteries
Registration includes admission for the participant (minimum age 8, 10+ suggested). All equipment needed to operate the drone including battery and charging equipment is included.
