Event description

Description

Kyle Golden, Chris Jadallah and the Pensacola Little Theater present to you "Bug".

Running at the Pensacola Little Theater November 29th - December 2nd

Why Bug?

This play talks about and deals with mental illnesses. Illnesses such as anxiety, depression, PYSD, anger problems, schizophrenia, addiction, obsession, etc.. These are issues people don't want to talk about or acknowledge. People suffering often feel alone. But we want to change that. We want these people to know they aren't alone, and help is available. Because everyone deserves a chance to be the best version of themselves.

We aim to partner and connect with therapists around town and help bridge those gaps.

But we need your help to tell this story. We are funding this completely on our own and only intend to breakeven.

We love the arts here in Pensacola and our mission is to see it continue to grow. Thank you in advance for you help with this mission.

Pensacola Little Theater has given us the opportunity to put on a late night style play
There isn't much of an option in Pensacola for arts such as this. We want to put on a play that is perhaps a bit weirder, edgier, and deals with the darker human tendencies that are not so much talked about. We want to see this succeed and possibly be a part of more plays and productions like this in the future. We want to see the arts continue to grow in Pensacola and we believe a play like this is a step in good direction.

What is Bug?

Bug is a play by Tracey Letts. It centers around 2 characters. Agnes, who is a divorced waitress, that lives in isolation in a motel room. And Peter who is a drifter with a darker and more mysterious past. Peter drops into Agnes's life rather quickly and unexpectedly. Their relationship starts off as something platonic, however, each longing for a companion, Peter and Agnes quickly escalate into a blossoming romance."

Just like any relationship, the past must come up. Forcing both Agnes and Peter to deal with each others past traumas. Things dive deep into paranoia, fear, conspiracy theories, unexplained psychological motives and of course... the bugs.

Who are we?

We are directors, actors, filmmakers, sketch comedy producers, commercial producers etc.
Chris Jadallah owns and operates Calliope Films who produces content here in Pensacola and across the country. We are also behind Kitty Get a Job, which is a sketch comedy group here in Pensacola. Kyle Golden is no stranger to the stage having played in numerous productions at the University of West Florida Such as "Reasons to Be Pretty" and "Pericles" and he is a member of Improvable cause.

WE NEED YOUR HELP!

Pensacola Little Theater has been gracious enough to rent us their space. However, it is very expensive to put on this play. From the space, to set design and builds, to insurance, this play will be quite the expense. Everyone working on the play is a volunteer. Your support is very much appreciated. Anything helps!

When it's all said in done, we are humbled to be a small part of the arts here in Pensacola. Its great time to be an artist and a creative in Pensacola and we want to keep the opportunities growing! We believe this is a step in that direction. THANK YOU in advance!

We certainly hope you come out and enjoy a night of theater with us at the Pensacola Little Theater.
