Step into summer with a handful of new tricks for keeping cool and sipping with friends without breaking the bank. In this demonstration class, Kate will cover the methods for using seasonal produce to infuse alcohol and liqueurs, simple syrups and sodas and come up with all kinds of tasty cold-brewed iced tea flavors.
The class will also feature a guest appearance from local food writer Emily Ho of Sustainable Foodworks who'll provide an introduction to home soda brewing with yeast fermentation. Although we will not be making a batch in class, you will learn the basics and get some excellent resources for further exploration.
Attendees will sip a few infusions in class (non-alcoholic, per liquor regs) and take home a recipe packet for creating personalized homemade beverages all for $25. Start summer and the holiday weekend off right; space is limited, reserve your slot today!
(This map makes finding the Farmer's Kitchen easier if you've never been before, as we'll be at the corner of Selma Ave and Morningside Court)
