With Nina Gold & Louije Kim

Saturday, February 22, 2020 from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm

This daylong retreat is part of the five-week Beginning Mindfulness Meditation class starting on January 28, 2020. This daylong is appropriate for all who wish to deepen their practice in a group context. The cost for this one-day retreat is included as part of the class. However, if you are not taking the whole class, you may still attend this one-day retreat. People of all ethnic backgrounds, sexual orientations, and gender identities are welcome.

Teacher Dana: The teachers are supported solely by your donations for their time and teachings (they do not receive any portion of the registration fee). Suggested donation is $25 to $100 for the daylong. This amount can be offered to the teacher by cash or check (payable to SF Insight).

What to Bring: Please bring your own lunch.

For Information: Call 415-994-5951.

Nina Gold has been practicing Insight meditation since 2007. She is a graduate of the Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Training with Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach and is currently a student in Spirit Rock’s Community Dharma Leaders program. Nina is also a yoga teacher, teaching in the Iyengar method since 1998. She was born and raised in San Francisco and lives there now with her husband, daughter and dog.
She loves truth and opening to the whole of life as practice. Dharma practice has profoundly transformed her and she shares these teachings with gratitude and joy.

Louije Kim is a community mental health therapist and dharma practitioner in the SF Bay Area. They are a part of the current Spirit Rock Teacher Training cohort. Louije is most drawn to practice in the style of Burmese monastic Sayadaw U Tejaniya as promulgated by Western convert Buddhist teachers. They are deeply committed to the personal and collective liberation of local communities.

Since we want our classes to be accessible to as many sangha members as possible, we offer our classes on a sliding scale registration fee basis. For those unable to afford the low end of the sliding scale, some limited income & scholarship slots are available (please call 415-994-5951 if the registration fee is an obstacle to your participation). Please consider the highest level that you can donate in order to support those who have fewer resources.
