Ever wanted to be a Cummunity Artist but don't know where to start? This BTEC maybe perfect for you. Running over one academic year, it is a practical and hands on course with live project briefs set by local arts orgaisations, opportunities to design and run workshops and volunteer or shadow members of staff.
The aim of the course is to give students a broad understanding of working in the Community Arts sector by focusing on project design and development, arts administration and developing students own visual arts practice. It includes designing and managing Community Arts projects from conception to resolution, practical workshops to develop creative practice and hand-on experience of designing and delivering projects at a community event. Classes will be delivered by a range of creative practitioners with experience of working in Community Arts.
The course is accredited and students will gain a nationally recognised BTEC Level 3 Certificate. Enroments are open now to start on 21st October.
