BT Digital Archives brings to you 500,000 digitised images and reports on the history of telecommunications and its impact on social, political, technological and cultural aspects of our national heritage.
You will have unprecedented access to study images and documents, new technology allows you to zoom in to discover the details from anywhere in the world.
JISC funding has facilitated Coventry University, BT and The National Archives to bring together their unique expertise to make this happen.
We have shown the wealth, depth and breadth of BT Digital Archives through academic studies.
Our academics have:
- Studied the linguistics of letter-writing over a 100 year period,
- Studied product design of the original iconic Trimphone
- Learned about managing ICT development projects
- Created problem-based learning scenarios for equal opportunities, sport and human resources
We explain how we digitized 500,000 documents and made an immersive interface to access them through innovative new technology.
