BSIDE Agency Presents an Evening with Luvvie Ajayi (I'm Judging You)
Tue, October 18, 2016, 7:00 PM – 10:00 PM PDT
In addition to the book-signing portion of the night, Luvvie will be in conversation with national best-selling author, Angela Nissel, known for The Broke Diaries and Mixed. Angela is one of Luvvie's sheros so this is a perfect match!
Luvvie's book dissects various hot issues such as social media, feminism, friendship, race and media representation, sex tapes, cultural obsessions, and our bad behavior, especially in this growing digital world. She calls it as she sees it and doesn't hold back; which is exactly what we need today! All she asks is that we listen and "do better".
If you haven't been able to meet Luvvie because you live on the West Coast, you have no excuses now. And for those of you that don't live on the West Coast, you know there ain't no party like a West Coast Book signing party in the City of Angels!!!
This evening will be beyond spectacular as there will be complimentary food (oh yeah), music (sounds provided by DJ Smith Mellow-Dee), and a great talk with the pop culture blogger, laugh out loud comedian, writer, and activist!
Date: Tuesday, October 18, 2016
Venue: Sofitel Luxury Hotels (8555 Beverly Blvd). Valet Parking will be $10.
This BSIDE Agency event is being powered by RollingOut Magazine, Terry Hines & Associates (THA), Urban, KnappyHairExtensions, Quartermain Media, and the Los Angeles Urban League Young Professionals.
About I'm Judging You
With over 500,000 readers a month at her enormously popular blog, AwesomelyLuvvie.com, Luvvie Ajayi is a go-to source for smart takes on pop culture.I'm Judging You is her debut book of humorous essays that dissects our cultural obsessions and calls out bad behavior in our increasingly digital, connected lives. It passes on lessons and side-eyes on life, social media, culture and fame, addressing those terrible friends we all have to serious discussions of race and media representation to what to do about your fool cousin sharing casket pictures from Grandma's wake on Facebook.
With a lighthearted, razor sharp wit and a unique perspective, I'm Judging You is the handbook the world needs, doling out the hard truths and a road map for bringing some "act right" into our lives, social media, and popular culture. It is the Do-Better Manual.
