The British Society for the History of Philosophy Annual Lecture 2019

Prof. Sarah Broadie, University of St. Andrews

"Putting Mathematics in its Place in Plato’s Republic"

Sarah Broadie is one of the world's foremost scholars of ancient philosophy. She has worked for the last 18 years in the Philosophy department at the University of St Andrews. Previously she taught at the University of Edinburgh, the University of Texas at Austin, and at Rutgers, Yale, and Princeton Universities. She is interested in many branches of philosophy but has mainly concentrated on Plato and Aristotle.

The event is free and open to all. The talk will be followed by a wine reception. Advance registration is required in order to access the Library.
