About the speakers
Erik Nordlander joined the GV team in 2010 as an engineering partner. He is based out of New York City. Along with his technical knowledge, he brings expertise in building top notch engineering teams and scaling complex systems.
Prior to joining GV, Erik led the team that built Google’s next generation display ad serving system. He helped Google’s acquisition and technical integration for Doubleclick (DCLK) and led a team that built statistical modeling and machine learning models for Google’s ad businesses. Erik was also a developer on Google’s core engineering infrastructure, including a distributed file system that key products, such as Google.com and Gmail, rely on today.
Erik studied computer science and engineering at MIT, where he did his graduate research at the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory on unique data extraction and disk forensics.
Erika Zauner is the Founder & CEO of HealthKick, a digital health company that brings a best-in-class consumer experience to corporate wellness initiatives through its platform of exclusive discounts and experiences for popular consumer health brands, and a wellness concierge service to help companies build a healthy, happy and productive workforces.
Prior to forming HealthKick, Erika worked in financial services at GE Capital, where she also managed the business' corporate wellness program. Erika joined GE Capital after graduating from Columbia Business School in 2011. She began her career at Fieldstone Private Capital Group, an investment banking advisory firm she joined after graduating from Princeton University in 2003.
Erika is a member of 37 Angels, an angel investing organization, and has advised multiple start-ups in the fitness space. As a former athlete, she is an avid health and fitness enthusiast and is passionate about helping others on their wellness journey. She holds leadership roles in Women In America, an organization of C-suite executives mentoring the next generation of female leaders and the Princeton Alumni Association.
