About this event
You are invited to a virtual visitation of the Princess Basma Center in Jerusalem on June 19th at noon EST (11am CST and 7pm Jerusalem time).
A ministry of the Episcopal Diocese of Jerusalem, the Princess Basma Center is a state-of-the-art treatment and rehabilitation center serving Palestinian children with disabilities, regardless of their religion. It is the Anglican Communion's presence on the Mount of Olives from which Jesus ascended into heaven, calling his disciples to continue his healing and reconciling work.
No doubt you've seen news from Jerusalem in the past few months of police and ethnic violence. This turmoil has exacerbated the challenges children with special needs face, and makes the work of the Princess Basma Center even more urgent.
This Zoom event is a celebration the Center's commitment in rising to the many challenges that stem from providing health and education services during the pandemic, an economic crisis, and political instability. It will be moderated by the Most. Rev. Hosam Naoum, Archbishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Jerusalem, and the Rt. Rev. Daniel G. P. Gutiérrez, Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Pennsylvania, and it will last about an hour.
If you are unable to attend, we hope you might still register so that we can send you further information about the Center and its vision for the future. You may also donate directly through the Episcopal Diocese of Pennsylvania, here: https://diopa.member365.com/publicInj/fundraisingCampaign/makeDonation/M8Pf-qNnjPRzo67A1K8zaA
