Legendary cybersecurity expert and best-selling author Bruce Schneier reveals how using a hacker’s mindset can change how you think about your life and the world.

Join Bruce and Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Julia Angwin as they discuss how understanding hacks can illuminate society’s ills and help us solve them. Opening remarks by Matt Mitchell, Senior Cybersecurity Program Manager at Ford Foundation. Talk and discussion will be followed by a book signing.

Hacking exists to benefit the rich and powerful, to reinforce existing power structures. It’s why we often feel vulnerable to corporate interests, institutional frameworks, and state authority. It’s why we lose faith and trust in the societal bulwarks that are supposed to protect us. 'A Hacker's Mind' seeks to rebuild our economic, political, and legal systems to counter those who would exploit our society, improve existing systems, predict and defend against hacks, and realize a more equitable world.
