Brown Solidarity with the Black Lives Matter Movement: PIC & ICE
In this workshop, we will examine the connections between the Prison Industrial Complex and the Immigration Industrial Complex. We will discuss the impact both prisons and detention centers have on Black and Brown communities, while dispelling false narratives surrounding each. Lastly, the goal of this workshop will focus on creating counternarratives advocating for Black and Brown unity through a zine format. Facilitated by Jocelin Hernandez.
