Brown Bag Lunch & Learn: Impact of Tax Policy on Nonprofits
For nearly half a decade Congress has been debating the need and framework for comprehensive tax reform that has included a number of provisions important to the nonprofit sector. In addition, the Trump Administration has signaled that it is interested in developing a new tax plan that would usher in sweeping changes.
There are a number of changes being explored that could change the sector including: simplification of the tax brackets, changes to standard deductions that could impact itemizers, caps on the charitable deduction, changes to the excise tax, and more.
Join us as we explore the various policy changes that will be proposed and how nonprofits and funders should prepare for the possible changes to come. Kyle Caldwell and John Schneider will host a conversation to explore these important issues and find out what you can do to be prepared and engaged as policy makers explore changes to our nation’s tax code.
